Welcome to Go Outdoors Virginia Boat Registration System!

  • Order replacement registration cards and decals

Some transactions started online may still require supporting documents to be mailed to DWR. We’ll let you know if that applies to your application.

Enter your date of birth and the requested identifying information to find your account. If we can’t locate one, you’ll be guided to create a new account.

Returning Customers

If you have registered a boat in Virginia before, start by looking up your existing account.

  • Use Login to find your customer account and manage your boat registration online.
  • You may be able to renew your registration, check application status, or order replacement cards and decals through your account.
  • If your application requires proof of ownership or other documents, the online process will tell you what to send and where to send it.

New Customers

If you have never registered a boat in Virginia before, select Enroll Now! to create your customer account and begin your application.

  • You can start a new boat title and registration application online.
  • Be ready to provide details about your watercraft and ownership documents.
  • Some new registration transactions require original or supporting documents to be mailed to DWR before processing can be completed.
